Cetus Protocol, the leading decentralized exchange and liquidity provider on the sui blockchain, was hacked for $223 million. The attacker compromised connected wallets, with $162 million temporarily frozen as recovery operations escalate.
Blockchain analysis shows the exploiter’s address contains 12.9 million SUI ($54 million) and may have transferred additional funds through bridges. The active wallet indicates continued evasion attempts while the Sui Foundation coordinates response efforts.
